Jessye back and language therapy

On Sunday we picked up our intrepid traveller. Poor Jessye came back with a hideous Japanese lurgy which made her miss her last day there sick in bed and snuffle her whole way home via Singapore and Darwin.

We hung out in her back yard - she came home to a lovely day - and then let her settle back in and sleep.

That night Rosie had her first online language therapy session with Bill Connors in Pittsburgh. He did more assessment then walked us through the parts of his online practice programme he wants her to do. It's really clever and very user-friendly. Rosie has done lots of the exercises by herself (the way she prefers it!) and emails her work to Bill and me so he can see what needs doing and I can keep track of her too. She has another session with him tonight.

Yesterday, after a meeting and assessment session with a local language pathologist at Epworth, Rosie and I went over to Jessye's place in North Melbourne and picked her up for a lazy brunch at one of her old workplaces then crawled onto another iconic Melbourne cafe Jessye wanted to check out. When she's back in good health she'll be looking for some part-time work to keep her going this year when she restarts uni in a couple of weeks.
