Visit from Michael Morgan

Rosie had a visit from Michael to go over anything she wanted to ask, details about tomorrow and just to say hi. He asked her what her decision was about the shave, total or minimal and explained why people opted for each one. Rosie opted for minimal so they will do that when she's asleep because they need stereotactic coordinates worked out first which will happen in the OR. That's a bit too technical for me but I presume he needs to map his route into her brain and therefore the area of shave. He has such a reassuring manner and way of making it all seem so normal, which for him, I guess it is. Before he left, he smiled at Rosie and said "it will go well tomorrow - I know it will".

Location:Rosie's room

On the ward

Rosie is installed in Ward 2 rm 41 for the night, apparently the temperature Sydney will be tomorrow! She has a computer/TV/phone/bed mover/meal orderer etc all in one.

MRI

After brekky and window shopping in the neighbourhood we checked out of the Westin and went to Adriano Zumbo's kitchen for fun and treats. One chef was working on sausage rolls.

We checked in at Travelodge North Ryde then Rosie and I went next door for her MRI, 25 mins including a fancy schmancy 3D scan that will be used on the computer during surgery tomorrow. She's just come out and we're waiting to admit her to the ward. She's fine apart from having the little tube thingamy stuck in her inner elbow for the duration which makes it a bit tricky to bend her "good" arm completely.

Rest of 18th

After room service and the cake (with lighting effects by Sophie and fake blowing by Rosie because candles are forbidden in the smoke-free Westin) Peter and I left the girls to party in their room last night.
