Goggles

District Athletics (Northern District) happened on August 25th and Rosie represented her school in the 10-yr-old girls triple jump, 4 x 100m relay and 1500m. She broke into a smile when she heard her name announced as third place getter in the triple jump - another ribbon for her collection, proudly showed to her friend, Isy, who had just won her white ribbon for coming 4th in the discus. Her relay team finished 5th and she came in a creditable 6th in the 1500m.

On Saturday August 27 Sophie and Rosie had open day at their ballet classes so the parents could see what they'd been up to so far this year. There has been great development since last year and they both do seem to enjoy dancing. Rosie's the one with the brown jacket on the end at the bar.

Fred and Barney's baths have become much less frequent since the novelty wore off. In the early days they were being bathed almost daily but apparently that's not very good for their coats so the relative neglect is probably a good thing.

Sophie and Rosie teamed up to make spag bol but neither is too keen to chop the onion and garlic without the protection of their swimming goggles.

At North Fitzroy Primary School there was yet another costume parade - this time your favourite character from a book. Having done their dressup barrel to death and Wilma feeling less than creative, the desperate three trekked off to a handy costume hire place. Sophie was Pocahontas and Rosie was a mouse (not sure which book).
