Social evening

Merlyne came over with beautiful sushi rolls, sashimi, corned beef, potato salad, coleslaw and garlic butter mushrooms. We had dinner in the closed cafe as usual then when Rosie was feeling tired, Merlyne gave us leftovers to take up to the ward for our next visitors, Rosalind and Peter Horton and for us tomorrow.
Rosalind and Peter brought dessert so we had another little party in the room.

We've been wonderfully looked after by our lovely rellies and friends - that will be one of the lasting fond memories of this extraordinary time.

Round 2, day 4, medically routine

Nothing medically special happening today. I slept over with Rosie last night to give Jessye a break. I was almost going to leave her by herself (she said she'd be fine) but I was just a little concerned about her altered perception. I'm sure she would have been fine but in the interests of safety, I used the lazyboy. We saw Miika and David, who thought her naming issue may have been slightly better, we shared her breakfast, she showered and e we went walkabout including a stop at the physio room.
The others slept in and came over at about 9. The puzzle is progressing nicely, Rosie is still winning card games and she is able to come up with a few words in Boggle, although having written them down, she has to painstakingly reconstruct them to read what she wrote.
Michael and David found us in the cafe late morning, joking that they had better add the cafe to their rounds - it was the second time they'd come looking for us there. Michael said they'd get a speech pathologist to come and see Rosie, maybe tonight but otherwise Monday, to help with the naming issues. She had a session with one of the physios this afternoon.
Rosie is headache-free most of the time, thankfully. We all managed to stay awake till about 4pm and then not just Rosie but everybody needed to have a nap.
