Easter at Ardroma

Meanwhile we went north to a tree farm belonging to some friends of ours. Briar Goessi and Wilma were great mates at Auckland University and Briar plays quite a bit with the MSO (she used to be a member of the 1st violin section). Her husband, Alan McNabb, is an eminent eye surgeon who grows trees on his family's farm in his spare time. They have three boys who give as good as they get from the Watt girls so a very noisy time is usually had when we get together. The highlights of this 24 hours were, as usual, the trampoline (we let Rosie on by herself and with her horse-riding helmet on!) and naturally the Easter egg hunt with clues which the parents spent half the night devising and the children ridiculed the next day as being too easy and too few. There were no complaints about the chocolate though.
