Carnavale

Today was Carnavale at North Fitzroy Primary where Rosie and Sophie go. Most schools in our area have an Italian bent and for Carnavale the kids dress up and have festive activities. Sophie was Mrs Claus and Rosie was a cat. Some mums have very vivid imaginations and go to a lot of trouble but our costumes have a somewhat minimal air.

Yesterday was the first day Fred and Barney were allowed to socialise in the park - inocculations have kicked in - so walkies have since been a hot item on the agenda. They don't seem to mind being bathed which is just as well since that is also great sport at the moment.

On the next four Monday nights Peter and the girls (and Fred and Barney) will attend the puppy preschool run by our vet. Wilma has German class at the same time so will have to glean the information second-hand and Jessye will also have to miss the first one because the Lauriston Xavier joint concert is on then. Wilma will leave German early to attend the concert. Jessye has been practising hard (relatively) for the last few days.

Sophie is back to practising cello and has her second lesson tomorrow. Her first one was the week before Rosie got sick and then everything ground to a halt for a while but we are getting back to normal now.

Lyndsay, Rosie's swimming teacher, commented today how well Rosie has looked the last couple of weeks. She does seem to be regaining some of her quickness and spark and laughs more and more.
