Jessye's birthday

Sunday was Jessye's birthday. Rosie had been working on this for days.

A highlight of Rosie's plan was to have a family excursion to Sovereign Hill, an open-air museum, or historical park, situated in an early gold diggings area at Ballarat. At Sovereign Hill you can pan for gold in the stream, and actually get something, tiny flecks of gold which appear unexpectedly in the pan if you use the right pan wriggling motion. The park includes an underground mine tour, where you can see the lumps of gold in the wall of the mine...

...and then more gold panning, paddling around in the stream, in the late afternoon, on a delightful Australian day.

Hey what an excellent birthday Jessye. Did you have pancakes for breakfast in the great Peter Watt tradition? Many happy returns. Good planning Rosie. It must be helpful to have all that extra medical info Pete and Wilma. Hope you are all doing ok. Love Kirsty David James and Lachie.
