Therapy
For the last week or so Rosie has been taking Dexamethasone, a synthetic glucocorticoid used primarily in the treatment of inflammatory disorders. Dexamethasone is used to counteract the development of the swelling of Rosie's AVM, and to reduce its tendancy to compress other brain structures.
The most annoying side effect of this drug for patients and for exitable family members generally is the puffiness in the face and neck that can occur. Saner people can see that, despite Rosie's swollen face, her general vitality is improving and she is headache free. It now appears that she may be on this drug for some weeks before her radiography.
On Tuesday morning, Wilma and Rosie tried another form of therapy, Shopping Therapy.
And, after dinner, Nutritional Therapy (I am not making this up), Chocolate Crackle at Trampoline, in Brunswick Street, Fitzroy.
"Our nutritional practice revolves around prescribing Food as Medicine, focusing on fresh, abundant, organic & biodynamic provisions. We have a passionate understanding of nutritional medicine which explores the healing effects food has on the body, mind and spirit, therefore encouraging our clients to enjoy a more holistic approach to food."

Hi Rosie
Retail therapy IS the perfect activity - I hope it involved some shoes of which your mother has exquisite taste.... Hannahx
The website is still great -it's really nice to be able to find out how you're doing without bugging you guys on the phone too often. That ice-cream sounds amazing -Chocolate Crackle therapy is a brilliant idea.
Lots of love (and to everybody at home), Vicki and Ed xxxxx

Hey Rosie,
Did you know that CHOCOLATE cures puffy faces and swollen necks...BUT THAT'S NOT ALL...if you buy 4,000 kgs. of chocolate before you read the rest of this stupid comment, you'll receive a worthless guarantee that CHOCOLATE will change the colour of your hair, make your belly-button glow in the dark, increase your test scores in school by 500%..AND...make you an Olympic equestrian gold medal winner! You must agree that not many foods can do all that AND taste scrummy...
